Catch the Light and Support the Ascension
For 65 years, the Church of the Ascension has served the people and the community of Don Mills, beginning with the founding of Thompson House, 53 years ago. Today, we house and support the Community Share Food Bank Inc. (CSFB), which provides food for about 220 families in need each week; our Café 65 brings seniors together over lunch and entertainment; the Women Supporting Women's group provides comfort and caring to those who are grieving; the Ascension Badminton Club offers great exercise and friendly social interaction; ESL supports newcomers to Canada. When the COVID-19 lockdown finally ends, we also hope to resume the pilot stage of Community Share Meal Program, in partnership with CSFB and Better Living.
